Wu'd

I am smitten with Jason Wu. From his dreamy Spring/ Summer 2012 collection to Michelle Williams' delicious navy gown at the Golden Globes and a forthcoming line for Target, Wu has my undivided attention. His clothing is feminine and modern, combining classic detailing with a relaxed styling.

And did you know the talented designer hails from our very own Vancouver? Among stints in Tokyo, Paris and currently, New York, Wu spent some of his childhood here after moving from his birthplace of Taiwan. At only 29 Wu has an already impressive resume which includes designing the stunning one shoulder gown Michelle Obama wore to the President's inaugural ball in January 2009, winning the 2010 CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear last spring and dressing some of the most fashionable celebrities in the world.

Wu's collections are always full of texture, whether it's a lace blouse, chiffon gown or a tailored jacket trimmed in feathers. His clothing crosses the line between pretty and sexy seamlessly, and is all totally wearable for those with the budget, of course. For the rest of us, there is the Target collection and I can't wait to get my hands on something on February 5th. Take a gander at the commercial below.

Sigh. I'm Wu'd.
